Section 8 Company Disclosure

The Ritam Foundation is registered as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act 2013 of India — a non-profit structure designed for organisations whose primary purpose is the promotion of education, art, science, research, or charitable activities. The Ritam Foundation is self-managed as an independent Section 8 Company.

The Indian Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore (IIFT Bangalore) — the parent institution — was founded by Sri B. Vedhagiri and is managed by the BVG Educational Trust. The Ritam House of Couture commercial arm is managed by the Ritam Foundation, channelling proceeds directly into IIFT Bangalore's mentorship programmes.

Proceeds fund Design Resident stipends, Master Faculty remuneration, materials for commission development, and the ongoing documentation of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in design.

The Foundation operates with a single-entity structure. There are no subsidiary organisations and no branch campuses operating under the Ritam or IIFT Bangalore name.
